Disabling Windows 7 search indexing:

By default, In windows 7 search indexing is turned on. Most of the users do not require search function because they know what they need and where they get it. If you disable your search function of windows then it will significantly boosts up your computer setup performance. You can disable the search function by following these steps- 

  1. Right click on the Taskbar the select Properties
  2. Now you will see a new small window, click on the Start Menu and then on Customize
  3. Then scroll down and deselect the check box Search programs and Control Panel
  4. Then click OK and again on OK
Now you have open the RUN box and type services.msc and press Enter. Now click on Windows search and disable it. Now again click on Start button and open Computer. Then right click on Local Disk C and select Properties. In the bottom uncheck the box that speaks of indexing and allow it to complete.
